The City of Vancouver<\/strong> is split into two geographical regions (East, West) and consist of 40 unique neighborhoods. Major parklands and city gardens located in the City of Vancouver include Stanley Park<\/a>, Queen Elizabeth Park<\/a>, VanDusen Botanical Garden<\/a> and within the city you can get views of the surrounding mountains, ocean waters and forests.Vancouver is located on the Burrard Peninsula and situated between Burrard Inlet to the north and the Fraser River to the south, the District of North Vancouver across the confluence of the Burrard Inlet with its Indian Arm to the north, Port Moody and Coquitlam to the east, New Westminster and Surrey across the Fraser River to the southeast, and Richmond on the Lulu Island to the southwest.In the 2021 Canadian census conducted by Statistics Canada, Vancouver had a population of 662,248 living in 305,336 of its 328,347 total private dwellings, a change of 4.9% from its 2016 population of 631,486, making it the eighth-largest among Canadian cities. More specifically, Vancouver is the fourth-largest in Western Canada after Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg.The City of Vancouver has a diverse mix of single family homes, duplexes, heritage homes, multi-family dwellings, and a growing selection of townhomes and condominiums.
