The City of Port Moody

The City of Port Moody borders the east end of Burrard Inlet and is located approximately 15km east of Vancouver on the south bank of the Burrard Inlet on the Burrard Peninsula. Port Moody is bordered by Coquitlam on the east and south, and by Burnaby on the west.

In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, Port Moody had a population of 33,535 living in 13,109 of its 13,603 total private dwellings, a change of -0% from its 2016 population of 33,551.
Port Moody is served by School District 43, and offers two secondary schools, one middle schools, and seven elementary schools.

Major parklands and city gardens located in Port Moody include Rocky Point Park, Buntzen Lake, White Pine Beach, Shoreline Park, Old Orchard Park and Old Mill Site Park.
