The City of North Vancouver

The City of North Vancouver is considered a suburb of Vancouver and consists of 33 unique neighborhoods and occupies the north shore of Burrard Inlet separate from Vancouver. North Vancouver and West Vancouver are commonly referred to as the North Shore.

In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, North Vancouver had a population of 58,120 living in 27,293 of its 29,021 total private dwellings, a change of 9.9% from its 2016 population of 52,898.

North Vancouver is served by School District 44, and offers six secondary schools and twenty five elementary schools.

North Vancouver is known for its outdoor fun in the forested North Shore Mountains, Lynn Valley, Grouse Mountain, Capilano Canyon and Lynn Canyon.
